What we collect

When you register an account on the perks page, we collect: your email address, a password (stored as a salted hash — we never store or see your plain-text password), your in-game name, your Steam ID or profile URL, your Discord username, and, optionally, a short playstyle description if you choose to fill that field in.

What it's used for

We use this information to link your account to your Discord account for the Verified role and its perks (priority notifications, giveaway eligibility, and similar), to identify you in the kill-feed by your registered in-game name, and to contact you about your account if needed. That's it — we don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties.

Your email specifically

Your email is used only to log in and for account-related communication. It is never shown publicly on the site or in Discord.

Requesting deletion

To have your account and associated data deleted, contact staff in Discord via #support-ticket, or email admin@yourdomain.com. We'll confirm once it's done.

What this policy doesn't cover

This policy covers the betterscum.com website and account system only. Your activity inside the SCUM game client and your activity on Discord are governed separately by SCUM's own data practices and by Discord's own Privacy Policy, respectively — those are platforms we don't control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the server evolves. Continued use of the site or account system after a change means you accept the updated policy.
